installing software
Daniel Smith asked:

Business organizations have many opportunities to save money through software discounts given by companies that appreciate them. These organizations buy their software in bulk, and are given deep discounts for those large quantity purchases.

There is non-expensive bulk emailing software that is routinely installed as marketing software on business computers. This computer software is specially made to work with email mailing lists and will save the company money by not having to be mailed through the postal system. This software based shipping tools keeps company monies in-house, where it can be used for other projects.

Other businesses such as corporations, web hosting services, and web based auction sellers, as well as all Government based operations also benefit from these bulk purchase software discounts received, because they chose to buy in large quantities at one time, and internally distribute them to their clients once or twice a year.

Most bulk software discounts received by government purchasing agents, are specifically packaged and shipped from the manufacturer to military installations around the world. These large quantity purchases are authorized through the General Services Administration, and are directed at saving military installations, Government agencies and Government contractors who work with specialized government owned computer systems money on their Operating budgets.

All government agencies can use the General Services Administration catalogue to pick and choose software discounts that will benefit their individual mission. Annual budgets routinely include software purchases that are highly discounted. Some government agencies take advantage of open source software, which is free and employ computer specialists that modify this free data form software for government use, where the software discounts received are tailored made to meet their uses at any time.

To ensure software discounts received through bulk purchase orders are received, all government spending on consumables and inventory are monitored. Purchases will generally be authorized from vendors that are listed in the GSA catalogue. Some exceptions are made, but for the most part, the software discounts received are from a business that contracted through a bidding process, to provide their products to their Government based purchasing departments.

The software discounts received by buying in bulk quantities are further enhanced by another Government agency, the United States Post Office. They offer deep discounts in their mailing rates for businesses that use bulk mailing methods to ship their periodicals and correspondence. In this case, bulk shipping is financially beneficial to both parties. It is cheaper to combine like items shipped by a business, and cheaper for the Postal Service to process it and get it to its destination on time.

The software discounts received by businesses that purchase computer software in bulk lots, are sometimes given by manufacturers in the form of extra user licenses. This means that one additional person in an office can load that program on their computer system without the company having to spend money on that license.

Gaining access to other software discounts available throughout the Internet is as easy as downloading any product catalogue on a company website at no charge. Business organization keep track of which companies offer software discounts received by bulk purchases, and they know which offerings are the most beneficial for their company.

computer repairs
D Fraser asked:

What do you think is a more effective way of repairing your PC system registry files? Taking it into your local computer repair shop or downloading a piece of diagnostics software to get the job done? Quite honestly it’s not a cut and dry answer, but this article will explore the differences. More specifically we’ll discuss how trial and error effects your bill, why software is consistent, and which choice is best for your PC problems. By the end of this article you should be able to decide if trying PC repair software is a good choice for you next time you run into a hardware of software error.

The Trial and Error Process of Technicians

You probably don’t realize it but even those positioned as computer experts rarely know exactly what the problem is without first running some tests. Just like a doctor or auto repair tech there is a trial and error portion to diagnosing and repairing a problem. Most computer repair people have a list of issues in their mind that a problem could be, they start at the top and run down that list until they locate the issue. If they can’t find it then it means research time. No one is an expert at everything, and quite often technicians will use scanning software to check your hardware, registry, and files to find a problem.

The consistency of Registry Repair tools

I’m not going to suggest that registry repair software is better then taking your PC to a repair shop. How ever, registry repair tools perform the same scan each time, similar to that list of issues the technician has in his had. The difference is that the software does it in about 10 minutes or less, every time. The software then diagnoses the issues found and offers a remedy all in well under a half hour.

The verdict here is that a piece of registry repair software performs a very similar task to your computer repair person. The difference is you’re not paying the software by the hour, it’s a one time fee to buy the software and that’s it. Add in that software generally offers new updates as time goes on and you’re actually protecting yourself for a longer period of time all for one price.

Which option is best for your PC repair needs?

I always recommend that you try diagnostic software first. Why? Simple the cost is much less then a trip to the repair shop, and most of these software publishers offers a money back guarantee. If you’re not happy with how the program performed you just ask for your money back. What’s the worst that could happen? You could end up at the repair shop anyways, but best case scenario you locate and fix the problem yourself saving you both time and money.

installing software
MS Sarfaraz Khan asked:

Scout the market and you would surely find out for yourself that a task to buy operating system software could be a really costly task. For quite some time, computer users and buyers know that when they buy operating system software, they are expected to allocate a significant amount of budget for the purchase. Because prices of the products do not go down, it is just logical for consumers to strive to find out why such trends are never reversed.

To begin with, an operating system is software itself, a computer program that facilitates the management of computer resources. The OS is providing programmers with a useful and effective interface that is used to access and use the resources integrated in the computer. The operating system works by managing and allocating internal system resources and tasks. In other words, no computer application can ever be accessed and run without the use of an operating system. Thus, there is always a need to buy operating system software.

Setback

Of course, it is already a well-known fact that the price tag is one specific and unique setback that prevents people from easily and widely buying an operating system. If you are to buy operating system software, you should prepare a huge amount of money as such programs are not usually rolled out in the market at affordable and reasonable prices.

Thus, the price tag can be considered, the biggest setback. However, if you buy operating system software, you would easily infer and understand why the market is seeing more expensive OS. The answer lies on the usability and the necessity for any computer buyer to buy operating system software.

The high prices of OS also pave the way for the rise of many pirated and unauthorized versions of the software. Scout the market and you could surely come across pirated versions of OS. If you would buy operating system software, you surely would be at times tempted to check out the uses and advantages of pirated operating system. Experts could not blame users for resorting to buy operating system software that are fake and pirated.

A necessity

There is no denying that it is a necessity to buy operating system software. As mentioned, most computer programs and applications depend on what type of operating system is working in a computer. For example, a software manufacturer is requiring PCs to run at its own operating system as a prerequisite to the installation and use of its different applications and programs.

In this regard, there is no denying that buying and owning a computer operating system is a necessity. No computer application and program would ever run and function without the basic foundation and use of an operating system. Buy operating system software because a computer would really render inutile and useless without one.

Despite its expensiveness, you should still strive to buy operating system software. Most computer manufacturers and distributors are resorting to install OEM versions of such operating systems. This way, more consumers and computer buyers are more inclined and attracted to buy operating system software. Some users complain that they are finding it really hard and challenging to buy operating system software from different sources and venues in the market.

Actually, you have no choice but to buy operating system software. Now, the only option and choice you could take is deciding which products, brands or OS you should buy and install into your personal computer. As always, you should strive to choose and purchase what could be the best and most effective OS for you.

installing software
John McElborough asked:

Ok so you’re new to online casino’s- you may be new to gambling or you may be a regular fixture on the real life casino floor but not quite up to speed on the internet itself- this article aims to clarify the technology behind the online casino and help you make the right choice for where you want to play.

The choice is yours

You’ve probably noticed by now online casinos are not exactly a) uncommon or b) hard to find these days. Google is currently listing some 71 million + pages of them and growing everyday but essentially most of the main casinos are offering the same service and its up to the casino player to decide what’s right for them and a good place to start is by looking at the software which online casino is offering. Casino software generally comes in 2 forms- ‘downloadable’ and ‘no download’ or ‘instant play’…

Downloadable online casino software

Downloadable software is for lack of a better explanation software which you download from the casino website onto your computer before you can play the games. Typically you would download the software as an executable file (these types of file have the filename suffix .exe so something like onlinecasino.exe). The file will go to a location on your computer- either a download folder or onto your desktop.

Once the casino software has been downloaded you will need to install it in the same way you would a new computer program i.e. Microsoft word or a computer game. This will unpack all of the files needed to play the casino games onto your computer so next time you want to play you will not need to go through this process- opening the casino will then be like opening any other program on your PC so you will see the software listed in the Windows start menu. The installation process will usually offer you the option of adding a shortcut to your desktop like the one you have for your recycle bin and probably a few other applications.

Unlike most software you run on your computer in order to play at an online casino the software needs to be connected to the internet at all times while you are playing. This is because the casino software on your computer is transferring information with the casino website- although all the games themselves are held on your machine your account information is held with the website so when you win or lose a game the website knows instantly and updates your account accordingly. Think of it like this- with downloadable casino software the table and the dealer is in your living room but the casino vault is still inside the casino building.

Possible problems with downloadable casino games

Having software connected to the internet from your computer is not in itself a security risk- in fact most modern software tries to make an internet connection upon loading up- for example Microsoft Word connects to the internet upon loading to check for security updates. However any software you download is likely to be treated suspiciously by virus checking or anti-spy ware software you have running i.e. AVG or Norton. This is because of the risk of malware (malicious software) which can infiltrate users computers, usually for the purpose of serving unwanted advertising or disrupting the users computer similar to a computer virus. Downloading from a reputable online casino should ensure there is no risk of this as it’s not in the casino’s interest to irritate or damage the users’ computer. You will most probably need to grant permission for the software to access the internet before a connection will be established- pop-up boxes will advise you of what you need to do.

If you are on a shared network or do not have administrative rights to your computer i.e. you’re on a work computer, you may have problems installing downloadable casino software. You can always try but if you don’t have permission you’ll get an error to tell you so.

Web-based, no download or instant play online casino games

Web-based casino games do not require the user to download or install any software before playing (hence they are often referred to as ‘instant play’). Instead they generally use pieces of software which are already installed within your web browser (i.e. internet explorer) known as ‘plugins’. Plugins used by online casino games include flash player, shockwave player and java- these are all freely available and you will most likely already have them installed on your web browser in which case you will be able to play the online casino games straight away- if not you will be prompted to download them from the relevant websites- you may then need to restart your browser before using the plugin and the casino.

Security issues with web-based games

As nothing is installed on your computer the risk of viruses or adware being installed is far lower than with downloadable games. There is a minimal risk of web based applications being ‘hacked’ by malicious users with the intent of extracting personal information or disrupting gameplay in the case of multiplayer scenario’s i.e. an online poker room. As with downloadable casino software the risk is extremely low and security on both types of casino games are getting ever more sophisticated.

The golden rules remain- go with a respectable online casino, make sure they are contactable before committing any money to your account and make sure you’re in control of your account balances. Remember millions of people play online casino games everyday; it is only the tiniest of percentages that experience any problems. Online casinos are still far more secure than any other online purchases.

Which types of online casino games are best for me?

Instant play casino games are great for trying out an online casino you have just found because they will usually let you try out the games by giving a limited amount of information so you can get onto the tables quickly and try out the software. Typically downloadable casino games will have richer, smoother graphics and sound which can make for a more immersive gameplay experience although graphics on modern instant play games are also improving. The main factor is the download time- downloading online casino software can take around 20 minutes on a slow internet connection so you may need to be patient- but if you’re not in a rush and want the improved graphics and don’t want to have to navigate to the casino website in your browser each time you play then downloadable software may be better for you.

In summary…

Downloadable casino software is good for;

- Graphics and sound

- Smooth gameplay with short load times once downloaded

- Players who are loyal to a casino

- May be better for users on a slow internet connection as once downloaded all games are stored on your computer

Things to consider though;

- Have to wait for download to complete

- May have problems installing on shared/ networked computers and can be blocked by anti virus software.

- Download software is usually only designed for computers running Microsoft Windows.

Web-based online casino games however;

- Let you play straight away with no downloads

- Increasingly good graphics

- Good for first time, practice play and trying out a new online casino.

- Work on any computer with a modern web browser and internet connection

The drawback;

- Can cause a big load on your internet connection so might run slowly if you’ve got other stuff going on.

- You will need to navigate to the website each time you want to play

installing software
Eric Scott asked:

Autoresponder software is installed on your website by uploading the auto responder script to your site and by linking the ar script to the email account that goes along with that website. When you have a good email autoresponder installed on your website and its email account is included in the setup, you can then set up as many different named auto responders from that one ars control panel as many times as you want.

All of the autoresponders have their own signup forms and you can have the ar signup forms on as many different websites and webpages as you want. Each auto responder can have its own series of email messages to send out to its subscribers and email lists. Each time you set up a new ar it would just be done on the same website and email account but with a different ar name, such as; abc, 123, etc.

You can also set up new autoresponders on as many different websites and email accounts that you want to by installing the auto responder script onto those sites and then starting the rest of the ar setup for those sites. You can also have as many different named ars as you want on these websites.

After you sign in to the control panel for the autoresponder that is installed on one of your websites you can create as many new ars as you want to. On the control panel type in a name for each auto responder you’re going to set up and press submit. By repeating this step you can set up another new ar name. After you have set up as many email autoresponder names as you want, you would then just click on any of the ar names on the control panel that you want to work on and then you’ll be on the admin control panel for that autoresponder name.

The admin control panel is where you set up the header for your email messages; from name, from email, the redirect site url, which is the next page shown after someone signs up to your signup form. There will be a choice for whether to show an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each outgoing email message so that your subscribers always have that option available to them. There is a link you can press that generates the code for the signup form that you copy and paste into your webpages html. The signup form is linked back to the autoreponder that you are working on and to the email account of the auto responders website. With some email autoresponder software you can also add a file as an attachment to each email message.

The messages are also set up on the auto responder admin control panel. You can have 1, 2, 3, or as many messages as you want in the email message series. Each autoresponder you set up can have it’s own series of messages to go out when someone signs up to one of your signup forms. This way you could have a different set of messages for each websites or webpages new signups and for all of the autoresponder lists. Each email message has its own setting so you can type in the number of days between it, the previous message, and the next message. After someone signs up to one of your signup forms that is on your website or webpage they will receive the first email message in the email message series.

There are two problems associated with autoresponder software. The initial cost can be expensive and the ar script can be complicated and difficult to install. The more extra features that the ar software has the more it will cost and the more complicated it will be to install and maintain. You can find a full featured ar software without a lot of extra features for under $20. You pay for it once and then you own it.

The email autoresponder software should be easy to install and easy to work with. It should come with a step by step installation and users guide. The control panel should be well laid out and easy to use. The auto responder should be able to be installed on as many websites and with as many ars on each of those sites as you want, so that each auto responder can send out a different series of email messages to its subscribers.

As you build your autoresponder lists from your signup forms you’ll be able to promote your online business and websites with opt-in email marketing and email campaigns.

installing software
Review Host asked:

Generally considered as some kind of potentially unwanted programs (PUP) by the Internet Security Company (McAFee,) adware and spyware could pause as a menace to original computer owners, web developers, and IT of certain corporations. Advertisements (adware) already included and mainstay of the program could present a threat or traffic nuisance for reason of its vulnerability to information disseminations, causing notorious cases of “identity theft,” that’d been threatening risk on the loss of personal properties, finances, bank’s credibility, financiers, and other financial institutions over the globe.

In the United States alone there is a rampant of identity theft to personal properties thru the process of transfer of ownership to a wrong person because of stolen Credit Card numbers, passwords, and other personal identifications robbed thru the internet in forms of spywares that camouflaged use-legalities that are merely ignored by users and computer owners.

Adware and Spyware software present a totally different usage in program inclusions, and for the user. While adware is a legal part of the computer’s administrative settings, spyware is ironically a deceptive method, that’ll not directly pause as illegal for it may be included in some software that fronts acceptance. By the time it reaches the user’s end it reacts like semblance of some kinds of virus or worms; at times just ignored not to be serious and obvious, but with motives, to invade the accessibility and manipulations of some confidential information from the computer, to be transmitted to other end users who may just wait for any advantage taken from this kind of traffic interference.

When the adware database link discovers the effects of detailed interference on some confidential records, those that need financial consideration of return-payments in nature, and wherein, exclusive website agenda had already been diverted to the other end without having to pay from the mother source, it’d be too late to reconstruct to normal settings. It is expensive to replenish and change to untarnished software. At times immune anti-virus is also out there, but anywhere it goes about entails some extra expense on part of the developer.

Spyware is software that support adware usage by PC espionage on different activities in a computer such as e-mail or chat logging, but could easily cause to detour web traffic that’s detrimental to e-commerce if abused or used without consent; therefore, by no means the deceiving technology in adverse adware usability.

A number of adware companies seem to feel bias about PC surveillance (spyware) for reason that, although, they had already disclosed specific data collections and transmissions on account of privacy security from their database link, it can’t totally control the chances of any outgoing data, where, and to whom it might be sent http://www.repair2.com Spyware technology has the capability to send not just the banner data from the mother PC, but could channel it to other interested parties that could even install-in to a new program.

The spyware technology is by far infused into the database without the owner’s awareness or consent, however, they come in as “drive-by downloads” or the user goes to click in options in “pop-up” windows, and immediately detoured to some other programs, either pornographic, or anything else without essence.

The adverse effect of adware is the fact that when it is installed in the computer and the user consents to include tracking features, it automatically becomes a “spyware” when used by another user who interacts with the “adware” outside any database link.
